In 2026, the inaugural Star Gala was held at Auckland’s Townhall under the theme, Surrealist Garden. It was an evening of wonder, possibility and imagination. Together, guests raised an incredible $3.65 million to help bring advanced cell and gene therapies to children in New Zealand for the very first time.

The Star Gala helped raised crucial funds for Starship’s oncology project – bringing advanced cell and gene therapies to children in New Zealand for the first time, starting with a clinical trial for children with neuroblastoma.
